Meet Daniel. He changed careers 15 years after college

When Daniel C. was asked to describe Revature in three words, he responded: “Helpful step forward.” Before training with Revature, Daniel had been out of college for almost 15 years and was struggling to find a job he felt passionate about. He was employed as a technician at the World Bank, but Daniel was hungry for a job in software development, which is what he studied in undergrad.

Daniel graduated from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree, and no connections to employment in the tech industry. In 2019, when he saw an ad for Revature, the promise of training on in-demand tech and connections to employers interested him.

He trained on Salesforce CRM, enabling him to land a job with a leading technology services and consulting firm. Today, he works at this firm full time as a programmer analyst. Daniel described the training as “intense but extremely helpful in developing new, useful skills.” Salesforce is amongst one of the most in-demand, and fastest growing technologies in the market. This foundation paired with his experience on major projects has helped him set the stage for a long career in tech.

Daniel accredits his newfound career success to Revature: “I do not believe I could be in my present career position without Revature, their training, and the business connections.” And the Revature team is proud to have been even a small part of Daniels’ journey.
